They Got Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner

Dessert, Drinks, Snacks, Bites, Yum

The other day I shared one of my most favorite breakfast spots. I mentioned waking up early to get a table since reservations were not available at that particular restaurant. Well if you are one who likes to sleep in, I have a brunch spot that is on the top of my list.

Remember, Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday and well this restaurant like most, only serves brunch on Saturdays and Sunday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. You can still go for lunch on Valentine’s Day or you could wait it out and take advantage of some really unique brunch menu items at Saint Añejo located at 1120 McGavock St, Nashville, TN 37203.

This spot has a nice spin on Mexican dishes but as a breakfast! Two of one of my favorite types of foods combined into one, Mexican and breakfast, YES! Keep in mind not to sleep in two long because reservations are not available, walk-ins only. Since this place is in the heart of downtown Nashville, if you get there later in the afternoon you will wait at least thirty minutes to an hour for a table but bar seating is always an option.

Below is a list of my must-have favorites.

Smokey + The Benedict Two poached eggs, drizzled with avocado hollandaise, atop of an english muffin with your choice of hickory smoked ham or salmon. I always go for the salmon, but I am a seafood kind of girl.

Potato Hash I wish that they had a description on the menu because the combination of the ingredients are like no other, and this is no exaggeration! The first time that I had them I was blown away because when the waiter told me how the hash is made I could not believe it. When you are there, try them for yourself. They are D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!

Breakfast Burrito This thing is so large that it can actually be shared. It has eggs, Mexican cheeses, Avocado, a habanero crema, and salsa roja. You can either add Chorizo to it or Chicken. I prefer the Chorizo!.

Blood Orange Mimosa My favorite drink besides the Grapefruit Mimosa is the Blood Orange. It is sweeter than the grapefruit but honestly I love them both, but I figured that most people would love the Blood Orange. One special thing about Saint Añejo is that they have some pretty extravagant cocktails. During weekend brunches they have HAPPY HOUR! You get two for one libations! They service your first drink with a wooden chip, kind of like a casino chip that you get to hold onto for your second drink. If you decide not to order the second drink that day, you can save your chip and bring it back any day to cash it in for a drink of your choice. Really cool, right!?
